About Allied Gardens Little League

Welcome to Allied Gardens Little League

Our Mission Allied Gardens Little League strives to develop athletic skills, sportsmanship, and citizenship of the youth in our community in a manner that allows for competitiveness in a physically and emotionally safe environment

We are a Little League organization serving the Allied Gardens and surrounding communities since 1957. We are a proud member of Little League District 33. You have come to the right place if you have a boy or girl who wants to play baseball, is league age 5-12 (i.e., age as of April 30 for the season they'll be playing), and resides within our geographic boundaries. Our Spring season runs from February thru June (tournament play can extend into the Summer; registration begins in November) and our Fall season runs from September thru November (registration starts in July). Players over 12 years of age are encouraged to enroll with the Patriot League

You can reach us by mail at 5173 Waring Rd., #213, San Diego, CA 92120. For contact information please visit our board page.

Our Philosophy

"Baseball and softball embody the discipline of teamwork. They challenge players toward perfection of physical skills and bring into play the excitement of tactics and strategy. The very nature of baseball and softball also teach that while every player eventually strikes out or is on the losing team, there is always another chance for success in the next at-bat or game." (www.littleleague.org)

We don't take the "win at all cost" approach of some competitive sports organizations. Little League emphasizes character building and sportsmanship over winning. The lessons we teach our players extend beyond the field and provide invaluable life experience. Our players will learn how to apply effort toward achieving tough goals, and the proper attitude to strive for success.

Our History

Allied Gardens Little League was founded in 1957. Howard Dennis of V.R. Dennis Construction recognized the value of Little League baseball and wanted to give back to our community. Our League was given a precious asset when Dennis Construction donated the property to AGLL. We are extremely proud to own our ball park and it shows; our facilities and fields are among the finest in District 33.

The responsibility for maintaining this vital community resource rests with the many volunteers who selflessly donate their time, money and energy. This league could not operate without your help with duties such as coaching, board service, field maintenance, umpiring, managing, concessions and much more. In fact, our league is run entirely by volunteers; every dollar we bring in goes directly to our fields and services for our members. Please contact us to find out how you can be involved to help safeguard the future of our league.
