Serving as an umpire is a great honor for Little League parents and volunteers. Often an overlooked aspect of the Little League program, umpiring is one of the most important. The umpire is as much a part of Little League as the manager and coach. The Little League volunteer umpire is responsible for making the game safe and enjoyable for players, coaches, and fans. The proper candidate must possess a respect of the game and it's rules and will make decisions based on the rules, often in the midst of hightened emotion.
If you don't have prior umpiring experience and are interested in volunteering, we will support you with free clinics, seminars, access to the Little League umpire registry, and on-the-game training. In addition, we will loan you gear and a uniform to get you started. The league provides shirts for our regular umpires.
A thorough knowledge of the rules of Little League Baseball is critical. Prior experience is valuable, but not required. If you would like to join our volunteer umpire crew please submit your volunteer application here:
