Safety & Clearance Requirements for Managers and Coaches
Safety is our top priority!
Allied Gardens Little League (AGLL) is committed to providing a safe environment for all players. In accordance with Little League International’s Child Protection Program, all managers and coaches must complete the following safety trainings and clinics before participating in any league activities.
Required Safety Training
All managers and coaches must complete the following trainings before any contact with players:
Mandatory Clinics
Managers and coaches are also required to attend the following D-33 sponsored and approved clinics:
- The Fundamentals (Skills) Clinic – Prepares coaches to deliver instruction on the fundamentals of baseball.
- The Safety Clinic – Teaches coaches how to safely conduct team practices and games, and how to deal with common medical issues.
Clinic Requirements:
- New coaches must attend both the Fundamentals Clinic AND Safety Clinic.
- Sign-in at the clinic is required to verify attendance.
- At least one coach or manager per team must attend both clinics in the current year. It does not need to be the same person attending both.
- All coaches and managers are required to have attended both clinics within the past three years. For example, in 2026, you must have attended a Fundamentals Clinic and Safety Clinic in 2026, 2025, or 2024.
- Prior clinic attendance can be verified at cadistrict33.org.
Player Safety Guidelines
AGLL follows Little League International safety guidelines in the following areas:
1. Safety Plan (2026 – forthcoming)
- The 2026 Safety Plan is being finalized and will document rules around player and volunteer safety, including first aid, injury reporting, and concussion awareness.
- Managers will be notified when the plan is published.
- To report an injury or accident, managers complete an Incident and Injury Tracking Form.
2. Concussion Awareness
- Managers complete the Heads Up Concussion Online Course.
- Players and parents complete a concussion information sheet and acknowledgement.

5. AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Training
- There is one AED located at the league snack bar.
- Managers and coaches should review the AED training video.
